Yoron is a laid back island located just to the north of the main Okinawa island. Most travelers have never heard about local
beautiful beaches. So Yoron remains a secret spot untouched by the mass tourism. Besides beaches and great snorkeling, you will also find a pastoral countryside in the inner island, - you can easily walk to from any place on the coast. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
On the island of Yoron there are just a dozen of accommodation options, but it is possible to find something to suite every taste. There is a large beachfront resort (from US$100), as well as cheap guesthouses in an authentic Japanese style with room's rates from US$40 per night. On the east coast of the island there is also a campsite, where you can spend a night in your own tent.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Okinawa international airport (OKA). Next fly to
Yoron island airport (RNJ) or get by the ferry (2.5 hours per way). Once you are on Yoron island, it is possibe to hire a taxi, or just to walk on your own, or that is even better to rent a bicycle.
When to go [edit]
June is the only time for a good beach holiday on Yoron island. That time it is warm enough and not too rainy. But in general in Okinawa summer is a rainy season, while it is cold in winter.
