Takaroa Atoll
Ultimate guide (January 2025)
Takaroa is a large atoll to the east of Rangiroa Atoll in French Polynesia. The only notable attraction is a shipwreck in bad condition. There are no beaches in the village. It is worth to rent a boat or take lagoon tour. You'll visit an abandoned pearl farm, as well as few good beaches in the inner side of lagoon. The place is not touristic being great for those who search for exotic spots. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
