Roatan is a popular tourist island in Honduras. It has
excellent beaches, as well as a world-class diving and snorkelling. Two cruise terminals opened recent years, helping to develope the tourism, but on the other hand the Roatan is becoming more similar to other Caribbean islands. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
In general, hotels in Roatan are rather expensive with average room rate being about $100-200 per night. And if you go far from the popular tourist destinations, it doesn't mean that the price will be lower. But anyway you can always find a decent room for $50.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Roatan international airport (RTB), serving routes from many countries - including USA and Canada.
The island has plenty of taxi cabs. Don't forget to ask the price before you go, and ask for the bargain if the fare seems to be very high.
When to go [edit]
The best time to travel to the island of Roatan in Honduras is a dry season from February to September. On the other hand October and November are the rainiest months of the year, and there's nothing to do on the island that time.
