Redang is an island on the east coast of Malaysia. This is a real tropical paradise. The
beaches have white sand, azure water, many palms, as well as scenic huge stones - looking quite like Seychelles. There are almost no any kind of pathways in the island's interior jungle. So boats are the main transportation option to move between the beaches. They are called "water taxis" and run frequently. Compared to Perhentian Islands, Redang' hotels are better, and there is also even an airport. Unfortunately, the island is slightly overcrowded. However, it is still possible to find relaxed beaches in Redang. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
In the hotels of Redang, rooms' fares range from US$40 to US$120 per night. So the choice of budget accommodation options is good enough.
There is also upscale five-star
Taaras Beach & Spa Resort with rooms' rates about US$400 per night. Value for money is not good enough. However, this is still a great hotel.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Kuala Lumpur international airport (KUL). Next get by domestic flight to
Kota Terengganu airport (TGG). Then get by taxi to the pier of
Kampung Penarik town, and get by speedboat to Redang island.
Attention! You should always ask your hotel about transfer options, as well as to book boat in advance for exact time and exact pier.
In addition, Redang Island has a
small aiport (RDN, Redang Airport). So direct flights to Kuala Lumpur and to Singapore are available.
