Raa Atoll
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Raa Atoll is one of the northern atolls in the Maldives. The
beaches are probably not be the best in country, but quite decent - with white sand, palms, clear water and excellent snorkeling. Due to the remote location, there are no crowds of tourists - especially on the local islands. Good news are that transfer fees from Male are almost the same as to the closer atolls. So the journey will not be very expensive, though it will take some time. Shore and seabed: sand.

As for the local islands, the room starts from US$80 per night. This is quite reasonable fare by the Maldivian standards, though not the cheapest one.
