Poivre island
Ultimate guide (April 2025)
Poivre is a secluded island to the southwest of Mahe major island, Seychelles. There is a small village with church, as well as uninhabited South Island (Ile Du Sud). There is an airstrip. However, it is more realistic to get here by speedboat from Mahe. There are no good beaches, nor any notable attractions. If you want to see Creole culture, main Seychelles islands will be much better choice. It is worth get here only for fishing, if you travel on your own yacht. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
