Pemba is an island in Tanzania located to the north of
Zanzibar. Unlike Zanzibar, there are no good beaches. The main tourist attractions are excellent diving and snorkelling. The island is also good for those looking for places unspoiled by the mass tourism. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

The choice of hotels on Pemba island is extremely limited. In general, there are about 10 accommodation options of a different class with rooms' rates starting from US$50 per night.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Dar es Salaam international airport (DAR), and next fly to
Pemba airport (PMA). In addition there are direct flights to Pemba from Zanzibar and from Arusha. As for boats from the mainland, these are very irregular.
When to go [edit]
The best time to travel to the island of Pemba in Tanzania is a dry season from June to October and from January to February.
