Upper sector is the far end of the North Male Atoll in Maldives. There is no noise from the airport, but transport accessibility is still very convenient. Local inhabited islands are rather mediocre, though occasional good beaches are available. As for the
island resorts, these are pretty good, but most of them are below the average level by the Maldivian standards. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
There are only four island resorts with good beaches - Reethi Rah, Meeru, Per Aquum Huvafen Fushi and Four Seasons Kuda Huraa. The rest options can be recommended only in case of significant discounts.
All of the local islands are rather mediocre. And only Thulusdhoo island has some kind of a good beach.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Maldives international airport (MLE). Next get by the resort's speedboat. Please note, that transfer fares are very expensive even for a short distance. For example, 20 minutes ride may cost US$150 per person per way.
As for the local government MTCC ferry, it's cheap (ticket US$3), but takes a lot of time:
