Menorca is the easternmost of Balearic Islands in Spain. For many people of Barcelona it is a secret spot, as most tourists stay in Mallorca. Menorca has also much more small cozy beaches, that are not very crowded even in the high season. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

In Menorca island there is a great choice of hotels, - maybe even better than in Mallorca. At least spending the same money you will stay in small cozy guesthouses, unlike huge high-rise buildings of Mallorca.

When to go [edit]

For relaxation in Menorca the best is summer half of the year. Sea water is the most warm from July to September. In August there is a peak season with crowd. But in September there's no living soul ashore, while it's almost as warm as in summer.
