Mayreau island

Mayreau is an island in the group of Grenadines. It has some of the best beaches in the Caribbean. There is also great snorkeling sport on the home reef located near the south-east coast (not far from The Ranch Escapade cafe). Hotels [edit]

There are just a few hotels on the island of Mayreau, and these are hard to find in the Web. However, you can always find good options with rooms' rates about US$100 per night.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Saint Vincent international airport (SVD) or fly to Barbados international airport (BGI). Next fly to Union island airport (UNI).

There is good boat connection (water taxis) between Union Island and Mayreau island, providing different level of service. So ticket prices range from cheap to expensive depending on what boat you prefer.

There is also mail boat running between the islands of Bequia, Canouan, Mayreau and Union Island. The journey itself is not comfortable. In addition, the ship is not parking at the island's pier. Instead, it stays in the bay, while small boats are delivering passengers and cargo items to the land and back.

The best time for a beach holiday in Mayreau island is a dry season from December to May.
