Mangaia island

Mangaia is an island in the Cook Islands, - located to the southeast of major Rarotonga island. There are no good beaches, since most of sea bottom is a rocky. However, it's not a problem to find a suitable swimming spot. But you should not expect a picturesque tropical paradise. There are no interesting attractions as well. However, it is worth to stay here for several days, since you will be the only tourist on the island. In addition, whales can be seen right from the shore during the period from June to August.
