The island is a National Park, so there are no hotels. Palencia is the nearest town with hotels.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Belize International Airport (BZE). Then take a bus from Belize City via Dangriga town. Total road will take a minimum of 5 hours. There is also a direct shuttle minibus Belize City - Palencia (3 hours per way). There are daily boat tours from Palencia to Laughing Bird Caye.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Palencia is a dry season from January to June.
