Ko Kood is one of the most beautiful islands, - not in Thailand only, but also in the whole world.
The beaches are with white sand and palms hanging over the water. The island has no many tourists and no nightlife. This leads to a surprising effect: some people reported that being a week on Koh Kood they spent less money in comparison to one day in Pattaya. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Koh Kood have not many hotels, but you will find a room almost everywhere. Most of the hotels are very cheap and quite basic. But there are also some luxury resorts like
Soneva Kiri with room rates starting from $1000 per night.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Bangkok international airport (BKK). Next get to
Trat - by the taxi, or by bus, or by plane. Next take a ferry to the Koh-Kut island. There are direct ferry services from Trat, as well as connecting routes via Ko-Chang and/or Koh-Mak.
But if you stay at the
Soneva Kiri, you may also take a direct flight from Bangkok. Once get to the International airport you will be immediately loaded to a small hotel's plane, which will reach the small
Ko Mai Si island located near the hotel. The flight will take 1.5 hours per way.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in the Ko Kut island of Thailand is a dry season from November to March. It rains heavily in the summer, so ferries don't go to the island, and most of the hotels are closed.
