Ko Chang is an island in Thailand located relatively close to Bangkok. The
beaches are almost as good as in the more popular resort areas of the country. But there are not so many tourists due to the poor transport accessibility, as the island has no airport. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Most of the Chang'a hotels are in the west of the island. Once upon a time these were much cheaper than in Phuket or in Koh Samui, but now prices are almost the same.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Bangkok international airport (BKK). Next get to
Trat - by the taxi, or by bus, or by plane. Next take a ferry to the Chang island.
By plane. Fly from Bangkok to
Trat airport (TDX). Then take the airport minibus to your hotel on Koh Chang.
By bus. There are two buses from
Ekkamai Bus station (Bangkok) to
Laem Ngop pier - at 07:45 and at 09:00. These will drop you off at one of the ferry piers to Koh Chang.
Ferries. There are two ferry piers -
Centrepoint and
Ao Thammachat. Ticket price is 80 Bahts. When you reach Koh Chang take a pick up truck taxi to your hotel.
