Kaukura Atoll
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Kaukura is an atoll located to the south-east of Rangiroa Atoll, French Polynesia. It is a typical coral atoll with several motus (islets) and with a large shallow lagoon. There are a lot of palms. But swimming is not comfortable, since sea bottom is rocky almost everywhere. Transport accessibility is also very poor. While there are almost no any tourist services. So it's not quite clear, who wants to visit it. Probably, these are rich owners of private yachts - ready to spend a day to explore this wonderful place. Shore and seabed: stones, sand.
