How to get there [edit]

Fly to Adelaide International Airport (ADL). Next take a ferry from Cape Jervis port (located to the south of Adelaide) to the port of Penneshaw in the east of Kangaroo Island.

There is no taxi servise in the island, but there are so-called transfer companies, which will deliver you to any place in the island. There is also bus service in the island, but it's not very comfortable.

The best time to travel to Kangaroo Island of Australia is a warm season from October to April.

If you plan to swim in the ocean, it is best to choose February when sea water is warmest. However, even at this time it is still not warmed enough.
