San Bernardo (Islas del Rosario) is a group of islands near Cartagena in Colombia. It is an important tourist destination, but you should understand that not all of the islands are very good. There are places with excellent
beaches, while some other islands are just boring rocks. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
[edit]
Hotels [edit]
On the islands there are no many hotels, and only few ones are available for the online booking. Minimum rooms' fares start at US$50 per night, but you should be ready to pay US$300-500 to get a good room.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Cartagena international airport (CTG). Next take a tour to the islands in one of the local towns (Cartagena, Tolu, Rincon, …). Some excursions include a visit to the beach of
Playa Blanca, but this wonderful place deserves its own daily trip.
When to go [edit]
You can relax any time of year on the beaches of San Bernardo Islands in Colombia. The period from August to October is a relatively rainy season, but even that time the weather is generally very good.
