Ischia is a popular island near Naples. The
beaches are pretty good, though far from the best in Italy. Also there are cozy old towns with beautiful architecture. But the main tourist attraction are numerous thermal springs. It can be huge park with dozens of pools, as well as small springs under the sand or in the shallows on the beach. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Ischia is a very popular resort destination, but hotels' fares are the same as on the mainland. In the high season, the typical cost of the room is about US$150-200 per night, but budget options (from US$60) are also available.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Naples international airport (NAP). Take a train to
Pozzuoli station and get by ferry to one of the ports of Ischia island.
You can travel around the island by taxi (expensive), or by buses (uncomfortable) or by shuttle mini buses (2.5 euros per trip - the most optimal transport).
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Ischia is a warm period from July to September.
