Guanaja is an island on the Caribbean coast of Honduras. There are not many good
beaches, but diving and mountain trekking are great. Bonacca is the largest settlement. It's located on a small islet notable for its canals slightly similiar to the Italian Venice. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Most of the budget hotels in Guanaja island are located in the town of
Bonacca. But if you don't want to be isolated from the main island, you'll have to choose from a limited list of hotels, most of which are very expensive.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
La Ceiba Airport (LCE). Next fly to
Guanaja airport (GJA).
The second option, which often may be faster: Fly to international
airport of the Roatan island (RTB), and next take a speedboat to the Guanaja island.

The best time to travel to the Guanaja island is a dry season from February to September.
