Grenada is an island in the south of the Lesser Antilles group. Probably, local
beaches and attractions are not the best in the Caribbean. However, the coastline has many spots looking like a paradise, as well as there are interesting hiking trails and even some historical sights. As for now, nothing reminds of the 1983 American invasion. In fact, this is a typical Caribbean territory with friendly and chilled locals. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Grenada hotels are expensive, but quite the same as on other neighboring islands. The minimum cost for a room in guesthouses starts from US$60, while true beachfront resort is about US$500 per night.
There are no campsites. But if you want to spend a night in your tent, it's not a problem. Just find a relatively uncrowded place on a pretty beach with many trees, wait for the dark, set up a tent, spend the night and remove the tent when the dawn start! This scheme works perfectly in places with a low level of crime - quite like Grenada is.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Grenada international airport (GND). Next take a taxi. There is also public transportation options during the work days.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a holiday on Grenada beaches is a dry season from January to June. By the way, the island is located almost at the edge of the hurricane belt. Therefore, dangerous hurricanes are rare - about once every 50 years! In this regard, the island is a better choice in comparison with its northern neighbors.

Useful information [edit]
There are also few small islands and islets located to the north-east of the main island of Grenada, - including
Carriacou island being the main beach destination in the country.
You can get to Carriacou by ferry, but plane is cheaper and more convenient option. By the way, Carriacou island is a convenient starting point to reach other islands of
Grenadines archipelago featuring the best beaches in the Caribbean.
