Gaafu atoll
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Gaafu is an atoll in the south of Maldives.
Beaches are rather mediocre by the Maldivian standards, but few nice exceptions are available. Many islands suffer from coastal erosion, so sandbags are common in many spots. But on the other hand, snorkeling on the house reef is excellent on most islands. Unfortunately, this is the only killer feature of this atoll. Shore and seabed: sand.
