Exuma Cays islands
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Exuma Cays is a chain of small islands in the Exuma group, Bahamas. There are some good
beaches including the famous beach with swimming pigs. Due to the poor transport accessibility, there are never many people here, except for the Pig beach. As everywhere in the Bahamas, the sand is white with great sandbanks, but palms can be rarely met along the coast. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Most of the islands in Exuma Cays are uninhabited and don't have any hotels. However, there are few accomodation options tending to luxury. Unfortunately, most hotels on the Exuma Cays are poorly presented in the international booking systems.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Nassau international airport (NAS). Then fly to one of the airports in Exumas -
Staniel Cay (TYM) in the center or
Exuma airport (GGT) in the south. As for the northern islands, these are located not far from Nassau and can be easily reached by boat.
When to go [edit]
The best time to relax on the islands of Exuma Cays is a dry season in the winter half of the year. The summer is a low season due to the rains and hurricanes. However, most of the time the weather is still good, while the sea water is much warmer.
