Bidung Laut is a small islet to the south of more popular Redang Island in Malaysia. The place is quite beautiful, but has not much of tourist services. The best beach is in the south - near the campsite. The island is notable as a former transit point for Vietnamese refugees. There are still some ruins from that historical period. This is probably a good destination for a day trip from Redang Island. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
[edit]
Hotels [edit]
Bidong Bay Campsite is the only accommodation option on the island. They offer private cabins, dormitory, as well as campground to place your own tent.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Kuala Lumpur international airport (KUL). Next get by domestic flight to
Kota Terengganu airport (TGG). Then get by taxi to the pier of
Kampung Penarik town, and get by speedboat to Redang island.
Attention! You should always ask your hotel about transfer options, as well as to book boat in advance for exact time and exact pier.
