Biak island

Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Biak is an island in Indonesia, located just to the north of West Papua. Good beaches can be found on uninhabited islands only - far from Biak. It is best to hire a boat with an overnight stay on that small island (from US$100 per boat). In Biak itself, you will find authentic Papuan culture, waterfalls, diving and spectacular ruins of abandoned five-star resort. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]
This island ranks #6 of the "Best islands in Indonesia"

Hotels [edit]

There are several hotels in the main town of Bosnik. By the way, Bosnik have a good beach being one of the best in Biak. Another nice beach is Wari beach.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Makassar international airport (UPG). Next fly to Biak airport (BIK). You can roam around the island by taxi. But the best is to hire taxi driver as a guide to show you all Biak's attractions.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday on the island of Biak is a dry season from July to October.
