Beef Island
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Beef Island is a small island known for the major airport of the British Virgin Islands. Most tourists immediately drive over the bridge to the neighboring Tortola island or fly to some other islands. However, Beef Island is worth staying at least a couple of days. There are good
beaches, shops, bars, as well as decent mooring. Flying planes are also of some interest. Moreover, large jets don't operate here, - so there is not much noise. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
There are almost no hotels on the island. So it is better to look for a suitable accommodation option on Tortola island. Rooms' fares start from about US$100 per day, and it is better to book much in advance.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Tortola - Beef Island airport (EIS). If you arrived at the cruise port of Tortola, the best is not to take a tour from cruise company, but just take a taxi for just US$12 per way (from the whole car).
When to go [edit]
The best time to relax on Beef Island is a cool season in the winter half of the year. As for the hurricane season from June to October, it is a less preferred period, but sea water is much warmer than in winter, and there are fewer people as well.
