Aur island

Aur is an island in Malaysia located to the northeast of Singapore. There is also smaller Dayang island nearby. So hiking is great everywhere with spectacular view of neighboring island. Snorkeling on the house reef is also very good. As for the beaches, these are beautiful, but swimming is poor due to the rocky sea bottom. During weekends, there is crowd of tourists from Singapore. The Rock Resorts, Dayang Island Resort and Bluewater Holiday Resort are beachfront properties focused on diving. Service is rather mediocre, but still quite acceptable.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Kuala Lumpur international airport (KUL). Then get by taxi to the pier of Mersing town, and get by speedboat to Aur island.

Attention! You should always ask your hotel about transfer options, as well as to book boat in advance for exact time and exact pier.

The best time for a holiday in Aur island is a dry season from April to July.
