Anegada island
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Anegada is the northernmost island in the British Virgin Islands. Strange, but there are just a few
good beaches. The main reason is that the best coastal areas face to the east. So a lot of algae come from the Atlantic Ocean. However, the remaining good beaches are usually not overcrowded, since the island is located far from the major tourist hubs. So anyway this is a great place to spend at least a few days. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Anegada Island has enough of decent guesthouses. But there are no real hotels at all. Probably, that's why most of accommodation options are not presented in Internet. So it's almost impossible to plan in advance.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Tortola - Beef Island airport (EIS). Get by taxi to the port of Road Town (in Tortola island), and next get by ferry to Anegada island.
When to go [edit]
Feel free to relax any time of year in Anegada island. The hurricane season from June to October is a low season, but it is usually quite good anyway.
